The vineyard sits up in the Langkloof of the Paardeberg and was planted in 1984. This is an extremely difficult grape to work with as the wine can become overtly floral and ripe if picked too late. The flipside of this is not to pick it too early and forfeit structure and palate weight. This wine is about the pure enjoyment of a lighter styled white wine while considering that Muscat was of the first varieties planted in the Cape in the 1650’
