Koen Roose is the man behind Spioenkop, he is intimately involved in every step these wines take from the vines to the bottle. When you mention his name to people in the wine industry you are bound to get a reaction, an eccentric character who freely admits to being a bit crazy. Added to that you have a man who isn't afraid to do things differently, originally from Belgium, he arrived with a fresh perspective. Undaunted and resolute in his beliefs Koen has been doing things differently from day one, when he started his project in the Elgin Valley, and with stunning results!
