The vision behind Pella is simple, create quality not quantity. In line with that principle, independent winemaker, Danie de Waal, sources his grapes only from a single vineyard. Why does that matter? Single vineyard wines display subtle characteristics that convey a sense of place. All of their wines are produced in small quantities to allow for hand-crafted finesse, when we say small quantities we're talking about 4 - 5 barrels per wine each vintage. Add to that a 9th generation winemaker who honed his craft working the vines in Bordeaux & Tuscany and you can expect stunning results.
