It ain't easy producing an exceptional Pinot Noir in South Africa, no one knows this more than South Africa's 'Pinot Noir Empress' - Catherine Marshall. So, needless to say, when we went in search of the best Pinot Noir to add to our portfolio there was only one place to go. Catherine is one of the original independent winemakers in South Africa, long before all the cool kids got onboard she was blazing a trail with her range of award winning wines. Her approach followed by many younger winemakers today, minimal intervention in the cellar which means the hard work is done in the vineyards.
