Mount Sutherland has not only the highest vineyards in South Africa, 1500m above sea level, but it is also in the coldest wine growing region in South Africa. This harsh environment results in low yielding, high quality & concentrated grapes. Just 1200 bottles of this exceptional Syrah were produced. This continental style Syrah is layered with aromas of rose petals, black cherries, cloves and freshly ground white pepper. A succulent and rich wine that is difficult to put down.
Rich, structured with peppery touch and dry finish. Can be decant for quite some time before drinking. Another bottle was purchased and awaiting to be opened.
